A NEW FAMILY WITH A DREAM OF CREATING A GASTRONOMIC MECCA IN ANDALUSIA
In 1998, the current owners fell in love with the historic heritage of the estate, surrounding nature and ideal location near Malaga. The property was purchased from the aging Baron and completely restored as a residence for the family.The dream of building a gastronomic mecca in Andalusia quickly began to develop in the family. The owner is a former restaurant chef and front-person of culinary TV-programs. Their vision was to create a distinct food mecca in the region – with a potential of making international impact. To realize the project, the family teamed up with another famous chef and also the respected Danish architect Anders Dyrup, known for the New Theatre in Copenhagen.
THREE YEARS OF CONSTRUCTION BEGAN IN 2006
The ambitious development project was started in 2006 and finished three years later in 2009. The project was driven by architect Anders Dyrup based on the vision of the current owners and a famous chef.
The estate was completely restored with distinct focus on keeping originalAndalusian house style details, while having stringent focus on meeting the highest Scandinavian quality standards. All aspects of the project was closely monitored.

Having developed and constructed the property into one the most distinct estates on Costa Del Sol, the owners believe that the timing is right for a new owner to continue the journey of the property. The restaurant was driven from 2008-2011and accepted in the Michelin Guide in 2009, 2010 and 2011 – with the prospects of received a Michelin star in 2011. The family decided to close the project as a restaurant in 2011 in the wake of a number of staff resignations and from to personal prioritizing. Over the years, the project achieved respect as one of the best restaurants in Malaga and is well known by local residents. The restaurant will surely benefit from an already established and loyal customer base should it open once again. Since 2009, the property has been further developed as a private mansion for the family with a recent renovation of the garden area, including an original Pizza oven from Italy, as well as with the expansion of a number new rooms.
